£950.00
sold out

This 3-day Masterclass is a technical course for those wishing to learn how to finish their glass to a professional standard. This hands-on workshop will teach you how to create different surface effects in your glass to bring out the interior to augment the exterior appearance, creating the poetry of light which is the hallmark of kiln cast glass.

You will learn how to use the air tools and all coldworking equipment from hand finishing techniques, flat-bed grinding, lathe, saw, cutting methods and sandblaster techniques to use in the casting process. You will also have the opportunity to discuss equipment, where to buy, set-up costs and technical information.

Our studio is well equipped with an extensive cold-working setup. Glass will be provided for students to work on or you may bring a suitable piece of your own work to finish with prior agreement.

The Glass Foundry, based in the Cotswold, is a professional studio in Dursely, Gloucestershire.

Due to the nature of this course places are very limited, so please register your interest early.

Expect an intensive, creative workshop, packed with information and possibilities.
